NorthSky single-user licence

1. Parties

Licensor: RMX DRIFT AS, organisation number 931 140 574, Wergelands vei 2, 3117 Tønsberg, Norway, acting through its registered business unit NorthSky Aviation Consultancy, organisation number 931 140 701. Referred to below as NorthSky.

Licensee: the individual named as buyer in the order. The licence is personal to that individual.

2. Permitted use

The licensee may:

1. Use the product for their own professional or private purposes, indefinitely.
2. Keep copies on devices they use, and print it for their own use.
3. Fill in and adapt any template the product provides, and use the completed result in their own work, including work done in the course of their employment.
4. Quote short extracts with attribution to NorthSky and the product title.

Point 3 is the practical boundary of this licence. An individual who buys a workbook and uses it in their day job is within the licence. Their employer is not licensed by that purchase: circulating the product to colleagues, storing it on a shared drive others can reach, or adopting it as a company document requires the standard single-organisation licence.

3. Restrictions

The licensee may not:

1. Share, redistribute, publish, resell, lend, or give away the product, or share the download link or order credentials.
2. Circulate the product within an employer or any other organisation, or place it where people other than the licensee can reach it.
3. Use the product to deliver paid advisory, consultancy, audit, or training services to a third party. That requires the enterprise licence.
4. Use the product as training data, fine-tuning data, or retrieval corpus for a machine-learning or generative artificial-intelligence system.
5. Remove or alter a copyright notice, version identifier, source reference, or the limitation statement in section 5.
6. Present the product or a derivative as their own work or as another party’s product.

4. Ownership

NorthSky retains copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the product. The licensee owns their own data, the documents they complete using it, and their own decisions. A completed document may be kept and used indefinitely, including by the licensee’s employer, and that right survives any end of this licence.

5. Standing of the product

NorthSky provides operational risk decision support and advisory guidance. Outputs do not constitute regulatory certification, aerodrome licensing, compliance verification, or formal authority determinations.

The product is decision support. The licensee remains responsible for their own work, their own submissions, and the professional obligations that attach to their role.

6. Versions and currency

A correction within the same major version is supplied at no cost. A new major version is supplied at no further cost to a licensee holding an active update subscription at the date it is released, and is otherwise a new purchase (WSD-026). The update subscription is optional and does not affect this licence, which continues whether or not it is bought or kept: a lapse withholds later versions and withdraws nothing already held. The product states the regulatory baseline it was written against and its review date; after that date it remains usable but is not represented as current. NorthSky does not undertake to notify licensees of regulatory change.

7. Warranty, liability, and consumer rights

NorthSky warrants that the product was prepared with the care and skill to be expected of a competent specialist and corresponds to its published description at the date of sale. Where it does not, the remedy is correction and free reissue, and a refund where correction is not possible.

NorthSky’s total liability arising out of the product and this licence is limited to the price paid. Indirect and consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, and third-party claims are excluded.

Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, or any other liability that Norwegian law does not permit to be limited. Where the licensee bought as a consumer, their mandatory statutory rights under Norwegian consumer law apply in full and are not reduced by this licence; those rights, including angrerett (the right of withdrawal) and reklamasjon (complaint over a defect), are set out in the consumer sales terms.

8. Term

The licence begins on payment and continues indefinitely. NorthSky may end it on written notice for a material breach of section 3 that is not remedied within 30 days. The licensee keeps the completed documents covered by section 4, and any copy they must retain to meet a legal or employment record-keeping duty.

9. Transfer

The licence is personal and cannot be transferred.

10. Governing law and disputes

Norwegian law governs. The venue is Vestfold tingrett. A consumer may also use the ordinary Norwegian consumer complaint bodies, and nothing here displaces a consumer’s right to bring proceedings where the law otherwise permits.

11. Changes

NorthSky may issue a new version of this licence for future sales. A licence already granted keeps the version in force at the time of purchase, and each version stays in the repository history.
